Welcome to Girlpla Guide

At last, we did it, we have a website!

For those of you new to the channel, this website is the culmination of months of research, hours upon hours of building 500+ model kits and talking with community veterans about the topic of girlpla and mecha musume.

The original form of this guide was a Google Docs that should still be lurking around r/Megami Device, but I’ve been meaning to turn this into an actual website for better accessibility, as the original doc is somewhere around 200 pages long now and very hard to scroll through and read to pick out what you need for it, given that it’s quite possibly the second most exhaustive source of material on this topic (after the community database on mecha musume, which is linked elsewhere on this site).

Anyway, now that I’ve got you here, we’ve got a few things in store for our wonderful website:

• The first thing we’ll be doing is doing weekly, more in-depth reviews of the kits in our collection. As there are about, again, 500 of these things in here, we may be here a long while. If we do run out, tune in for Girlpla Guide’s Weekly Anime Roundup. The first one we’ll be starting with, fittingly, will be 30 Minutes Sisters Tiasha, who was the very first kit in our entire collection. Tune in next Sunday to see her.
• The second thing we’re angling to do is compiling a list of tips by the girlpla community over on the Kotobukiya Discord into a single document to be made available on this site on stuff like comparing kit skin colors, guides on how to build for beginners. This is a more long-term project for which I do not yet have a fixed date for you, but there will be a post about it on here if I get around to doing that.
• The third and final thing we may do is doing reviews of side media related to model kits, such as anime reviews of Alice Gear Aegis, Busou Shinki and Frame Arms Girl, but, as with the second item, this may be a while before we get around to doing that.

As for our plans regarding this website:

• We’re intending to make a logo for this site, but this will be a while as I am not a graphics designer and I do not intend to use the accursed clankers that are drinking our waters to make one for me.
• I also intend to write a few more articles for kits that are missing from this site. Link Travelers, Aqua Shooters, the CangToys Samael, Furai Arcee and Soskill Hatsune Miku are in the pipeline, but I can’t promise dates as to when these will be up.
