Overview
This line is not strictly speaking girlpla alone, but rather refers to a toyline developed by toy manufacturing giant Bandai, more well-known in the modeling community for Gunpla, but also responsible for other toylines (such as Figure-rise Standard).
30 Minutes Label encompasses the four following sublines:
- 30 Minutes Missions, their mecha line, launched in 2019 with the release of the white variant of eEXM-17 Alto. Focusing on the overarching lore of the Earth Alliance, Bailon Empire and Maxion Forces fighting interstellar war in the year 2XXX, this line focuses heavily on building customizable mecha, with similar construction and engineering to Bandai’s High Grade Gunpla. Of note from this line for the purposes of the guide are Spinatia and Acerby, fembot-themed 30MM kits. The line has also done collaborations with Armored Core 6 and Daemon X Machina.
- 30 Minutes Fantasy, a fantasy-themed line launched in 2024 with the release of the Liber Knight. Set on an alternate Earth called Dlro, the robotic Maximilia are created to harness the alien Elements that have polluted the Earth in forms similar to fantasy and the magic of old, focusing on the conflict between the harmonious Liber Republic and the hegemonic Rosan Empire. This line has done a collaboration with Samurai Troopers.
- 30 Minutes Preference, an offshoot of 30 Minutes Sisters that eschews any overarching lore in lieu of focusing entirely on collaborations with other properties, using the same engineering as 30MS. Among the franchises they have kits from are Bocchi the Rock, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Neon Genesis Evangelion. The first kit (Hitori Gotoh) was released in 2025.
- And finally, 30 Minutes Sisters, their girlpla line. Set a millennium after the events of 30 Minutes Missions, a Gate causes monsters from beyond the stars to assail the Earth, only for the digital Sisters to come and fight them. Collaborations in this line include Idolmaster Shiny Colors, Fate Grand/Order, and Uma Musume. The first kit released was Rishetta in 2021, followed closely by wavemates Tiasha and Luluce.
Overall, the gimmick of 30 Minutes Label is very simple; from opening the box to completion, the intention is to take 30 minutes to complete the kit (though time may vary depending on skill, the kit and one’s manual dexterity). Another gimmick of the line is interchangeability; in theory, every single kit can be combined with every single other kit from any line under the 30 Minutes Label umbrella, with thousands of possibilities.
