Elf Village

Overview

A company under toy manufacturing company Tops, Vertex is known for their work with PVC figures, legendary in some circles for their Selvaria (Valkyria Chronicles) figures and known also for their work with franchises as diverse as BlazBlue, Evangelion, Persona and Senran Kagura. 

However, of late, Vertex has pivoted to all-original output, with lines like Orbit Girls (a mecha musume-themed line) and Tight Works (uniformed women), all with less clothes on than the average sumo wrestler and breast sizes that average in the lower letters of the alphabet. However, it’s their work with Elf Village that concerns us today.

Elf Village (and sister line Dark Elf Village) is about exactly what it says on the tin; a village of scantily clad elves with breasts bigger than your head, with sister Dark Elf Village being the village of the Smurfs. Wait, no, still elves. With character design provided by Parsley (known for their work on Megami Device’s Buster Doll line, Girls Frontline and being character designer for Sakamata Chloe of hololive) and a whole host of other illustrators (legendary hentai artists Asanagi and Mataro among them), this line of figures is very simple in appeal; blonde elves with their kit off. Not incredible amounts of lore, no frills, and almost no clothes.

So predictably, they were very successful.

In 2026, Vertex would confirm that, in a magnanimous move to make their scantily clad elves available to the masses (seriously, these things cost somewhere in the tens of thousands of yen meaning you gotta be pretty loaded to be collecting these), they would be producing model kits of the characters from Elf Village, displaying prototypes of their first kit, fittingly based off the first villager of Elf Village, Archeyle. Let us hope they cost a fraction of the price.
